Minecraft 1.18 Is Due To Launch This Month, But Three Big Features Are "on Hold"


The snapshot betas were growing smaller and smaller and we were aware that it was coming, but now Mojang has officially announced. The Minecraft 1.18 release date that includes all Caves & Cliffs Part 2 features is scheduled to be released in the last week of November. The update will land across every platform Minecraft supports, and finally provides us with a variety of new biomes, revamped world generation, and much more.



Minecraft 1.18 launches on November 30. The Java Edition update will be accessible on Windows, Mac, Linux and Linux PCs. The Bedrock Edition will launch on – deep breath – PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X and S.



The update also includes new world generation features and improved cave systems, along with candles. As was previously reported, certain features were delayed from 1.18. They won't make 1.19 (also known to as The Wild update), as the developers have confirmed.



The announcement explains that archaeology bundles, archaeology and goat horns are "put on hold".  TLAUNCHER FOR MINECRAFT They aren't cancelled. We simply needed to put them on hold for the moment.
